To enter, go the PokerStars tournament lobby, click ‘Events’, then ‘APPT’.

Direct Buy-in Information

Players who would like to register in advance for the APPT Manila (and be guaranteed a seat) should e-mail registrations@pokerstars.net to receive instructions on sending their payment by wire transfer or bank draft. Players may purchase a main event entry, or an accommodation package, depending on availability.

The deadline for advance payment by wire transfer or bank draft is generally two weeks before the event.

About Manila

The Philippines comprises more than 7,000 beautiful islands, in South East Asia. Manila is the capital, and lies on Luzon, the country's largest island. Manila is a place full of contrast, thanks to a rich brew of influences from various foreign powers and its own diverse traditions. It's a city of ten million people which follows the curve of Manila Bay, with much of its sprawl and energetic nightlife by the water.

Activities available include golfing, game-fishing, water-skiing, diving, mountain climbing, trekking and safari trips. Fiesta and village tours, cultural and historical tours, and visits to farms and ancestral houses are also a great way to discover the Philippines.

How to Get There

Manila is an international gateway city, served by more than 30 airlines (including the national carrier Philippine Airlines) flying into Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The airport is about 20 minutes from the city centre. Please note: there is a PHP 750 (approx USD $15) exit tax payable at the airport on departure and ONLY PHP or USD are accepted.

From the Airport to Hotel

The fastest way to get from airport to hotel is to use a taxi. They are inexpensive and operate by pre-paid vouchers, which can be purchased at the Avis counter in the Arrivals Lobby.

Accommodation

PokerStars qualifiers will be staying at the Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila. We recommend that all players stay at the Hyatt, but the city also boasts many other hotels, from deluxe to standard bed-and-breakfast style accommodation.
