Season 2 of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour begins in Macau September 2008, promising to be bigger and better than before. The tour will continue its groundbreaking run, bringing the game of poker to places that have never experienced a tournament of this scale. The main event and High Rollers event in Macau each have a guaranteed prize pool of HKD $10,000,000 (USD $1,300,000). The Grand Final in Sydney has guaranteed first place prize money of AUD $1,000,000 (USD $945,000).
The first event in Macau includes a six-day main event and the return of the High Rollers tournament, both with million dollar prize pools. The tour will also visit Seoul, Manila and a new event in Auckland, before culminating with the Grand Final in Sydney.

Season 1 Highlights
The APPT Season 1 was a huge success, attracting 1,418 players from around the world, generating a combined prize pool of $5,586,150 (USD).
The first event in Manila saw American Brett Parise pick up $179,775 for his victory. Next stop was Seoul, where 25-year-old Israeli player Ziv Bachar won $139,000 for taking the main event title.
The action then moved to Macau, for the main event and the High Rollers tournament. England’s Dinh Le emerged as the main event winner, walking away with first place prize money of $222,640. Two days later, Australian Eric Assadourian found victory in the High Rollers event, winning $368,640.
All roads then led to the Grand Final in Sydney, where a field of over 500 players battled to become the first ever APPT champion. It was 28-year-old Australina player Grant Levy who would eventually claim the title and prize money of AUD $1,000,000.
Meanwhile, Team PokerStars Pro member Joe Hachem took down the Tournament of Champions event, winning $50,000, which he donated to charity.
